Dometic are proud to launch a world-first in mobile cooling with the CK40D Hybrid Cooler. Compressor technology allows the unit to be efficiently run on mains power from +10c down to -15c; the thermoelectric system provides quiet and low-power cooling on 12v DC down to 20 degrees below ambient.
The CK40D is intended for use as a simple cooler for BBQ parties, in-car use, picnics and camping. This unit has also proved popular for summerhouses, workshops, workplaces and other environments. The single internal compartment is sufficient to accommodate 1.5 and 2 litre bottles. Recessed side grips are provided for easy carrying.

“Is this a compressor or thermoelectric cooler?”
Dometic CK40D coolers feature both compressor and thermoelectric technology for ultimate flexibility.
“Can I run this unit on both 240v mains and 12v DC?”
Yes you can, and cables are suplied for both types of connection. It is important not to plug both in at the same time, as it can damage the unit.
“Is the unit easy to clean?”
Yes it is easy to clean, as Dometic CK coolers have smooth, wipe-clean interior and exterior surfaces.
“Are spares and accessories available?”
A range of spares is available from Dometic if needed.
“Will my car battery be sufficient to power the unit?”
Yes, this unit is designed to be run from a car battery in thermoelectric mode. Dometic also offer a useful Power Pack, which is great for powering coolers and other items.
