Here at 4×4 Works, we’re proud to stock and supply a long list of all-weather, all-terrain, off-road essentials, including the upgrades that get our customers out of some pretty sticky situations. Alongside our collection of recovery gear, our Meyer Drive Pro Snow Ploughs are top upgrades for winter, making mincemeat of the snow and ice that can make surfaces outside extra treacherous.
If you’re unfamiliar with this great upgrade, you’ll want to read our guide to the Meyer Drive Pro Snow Plough.
What is the Meyer Drive Pro Snow Plough?
Meyer is a US-based brand known for its top-rated snow ploughs and salt spreaders. Their commercial-grade products are popular around the world, and you’ll be pleased to know that we’ve just added them to our range here at 4×4 Works!
The Meyer Drive Pro that we stock is particularly innovative. It has been specifically designed and developed for quick and easy mounting to a wide range of common 4×4 vehicles and vans.
Just how easy is it to mount the Meyer Drive Pro to my vehicle?
The quick answer? Very easy indeed! In fact, it’s been made for one-person mounting and takes just under a minute to attach or detach from a vehicle. Its built-in crank stand also means that once fitted, it’s just as quick and simple to adjust, even on uneven ground.
What are the other advantages of the Meyer Drive Pro?
The benefits of adding a Meyer Drive Pro snow plough to your vehicle don’t end there. Its clearing performance is well regarded, providing hands-free ploughing when you need it most.
Its quick connect plug and hitch; adjustable drop speed; tubular, military-grade steel construction; and remote control with self-diagnostics mean a lightweight yet durable addition that’s tough enough to plough snow in the harshest conditions without putting too much pressure on your everyday vehicle. The Drive Pro also boasts improved fuel economy.
The Drive Pro features integrated caster wheels to make it easy to move and store when it’s not in use too.
Can I install my own snow plough?
Yes, all the parts required are included, although you will need a 2-inch front receiver hitch available on your vehicle, which is not included in the kit.
If you don’t feel up to the task of installing your Meyer Drive Pro yourself, we can assist with specialist installation. Simply contact us to arrange fitting.
Is there anything else I need to get started?
We offer a number of optional extras if you are looking to purchase a Meyer Drive Pro Snow Plough. Alongside the 2-metre or 2.3-metre powered snow plough, there is the option to include a rubber cutting edge, snow shoe kit and plough marker kit to customise your temporary plough further.
Our lighting kit is another popular addition and, as this government guidance explains, it could be the key to ensuring safe use and compliance:
“If the snow plough obscures any of the obligatory lighting functions additional lamps should be fitted that fulfil the function. Additional front and rear position lamps and reflectors mounted within 400 millimetres of the outer edge of the plough must also be fitted if those on the vehicle do not fulfil this requirement. (RVLR Regulation 21). These requirements apply when the vehicle is used at night or in poor visibility…”
