“Is this winch waterproof?”
Good quality winches are designed to withstand normal driving conditions, bad weather, etc if they are intended to be used outdoors. However, unless specifically stated, our winches are not designed to be submerged. Should this happen, we recommend properly drying out your winch as soon as possible following the manufacturer’s guidelines.
“Is steel or synthetic rope better?”
Synthetic rope is safer, but it also requires more care in use. Either way, having proper recovery equipment is important to prevent rope damage.
“My winch rope looks damaged, is it safe?”
