The warming weather means one thing to the proud owners of 4×4 vehicles – a chance to hit the road and experience life exactly how it should be experienced!
Whether you plan to take your adventure overseas or explore on home turf during the spring and summer months ahead, there’s one accessory that will make life on the road (and off it) even more enjoyable and exhilarating.
The ARB Flinders Roof Top Tent is a new product for the 2022 season, and we’ve dedicated this blog post to introducing you to all of its fantastic features.
A new ground-up design
Every square inch of storage space matters during your off-road adventure, a fact that makes the ARB Flinders Roof Top Tent’s new, ground-up design particularly impressive and useful.
The ARB Flinders Roof Top Tent is compact and low profile courtesy of its 200mm packed height and detachable ladder. The packed height of the Flinders Roof Top Tent is 100mm less than the ARB Simpson Roof Tent! This height reduction and the use of curved poles at roof height enhances aerodynamics, improves access, and boosts head height.
Comfort without compromise
Despite its compact, low profile design, the ARB Flinders Roof Top Tent doesn’t compromise camping comfort. Internally, it’s surprisingly spacious and this is only enhanced by its five zipped windows, complete with specially designed vents that increase airflow and decrease condensation.
Each window is fitted with a dual mesh screen, providing vital protection from insects whatever your surroundings. Rain and sun awning shelters fitted to the side and entrance also make the Flinders Roof Top Tent suitable for adventures in a variety of environments whatever the weather conditions.
The design features a 50mm, high-density foam mattress with polycotton cover and bedding retention straps so you can enjoy a great sleep wherever you park up for the night.
An experience day and night
A standout feature of the Flinders Roof Top Tent has to be its large roof window. It’s perfect for soaking up the sun by day or stargazing by night.
Its internal lighting, power and storage systems – which consist of an LED touch lamp, two USB charging points, storage and shoe pockets, and a 5-metre-long lighting cable extension – also make it a space that you can rely on around the clock.
Simple and straightforward operation
Many of the top-rated roof tents take at least 15 minutes to set up or pack away, which may not seem like a lot of time but after a long day of adventuring can feel like an age.
The Flinders Roof Top Tent slashes set up and pack down times dramatically. With a bit of practice, it takes just a couple of minutes to set up your base for the night or get back on the road come morning.
We’ll let ARB explain more about how the design’s hassle-free operation is made possible:
“Set up and pack down is simplified thanks to the zipped cover which does not have to be removed. Setting up is as simple as unzipping the cover, opening out the tent using the ladder and sliding the extendable poles into position – all internal poles will intuitively fan out into place! Packing down is easy via 2 internal bungee lines to help pull the sides of the tent in as it folds down.”
