Notes:
Widely regarded as the original and best free wheeling hubs available worldwide, AVM Freewheeling Hubs have been fitted as original equipment to many vehicles over the past 30 years. Not all vehicle models can accept free wheeling hubs, but to serious off-roaders this has long been regarded as an essential upgrade to reduce driveline wear and minimise rolling resistance. A simple twist of the sturdy lever on the hub body allows the axle shaft to be disengaged from the wheel assembly for road use and re-engaged for off-roading.
AVM hubs are built from the most durable materials, and with the proper care they can give decades of reliable service. To ensure correct fitment, the number of hub bolts can be checked, along with the pitch circle diameter (PCD) and shaft spline count. Free wheeling hubs are simple to install and easy to use.
- Simple operation
- Reinforced nodular iron body
- Die-cast aluminium cap
- Corrosion resistant finish
- Heat treated internal components
“Is this easy to install?”
Yes, this is a simple bolt-on product.
“Why did many manufacturers fit these as standard equipment?”
Free Wheeling Hubs allow the front axle and driveline to be disengaged from the wheel assembly. This reduces wear of vital components and gives fuel savings and performance benefits by reducing rolling resistance.
“Are AVM hubs suitable for all vehicles?”
No, only certain vehicles can accept free wheeling hubs. Ask for help if needed.
“Are AVM hubs suitable for heavy off-road use?”
Yes, they are intended for both on and off road use.
“Is this product compatible with driveline changes or performance upgrades?”
Yes, providing that the bolt count PCD, shaft diameter and spline count are unchanged.
