Off-road recovery and rescue can be a risky business, often performed in less than ideal conditions. Strong, reliable recovery points are essential for off road driving but the lack of industry standards regarding rated tow points has caused confusion among 4WD drivers for many years. With this in mind, Roadsafe has designed, tested and developed an extensive range of fully rated and highly visible recovery points. Roadsafe recovery points are durable and user friendly, and are almost all sold in pairs.
When a vehicle has two recovery points, the load should always be equalised by using a bridle strap. This prevents recovery point or vehicle frame fatigue and makes for a safer, more controlled recovery.

“Will this bolt straight onto my vehicle?”
Yes, Roadsafe recovery points are bolt-on and welding is not required.
“Is drilling required to install Roadsafe recovery points?”
Drilling is not generally required, although in some cases some minor drilling could be needed. See the product fitting instructions for details.
“Is this product suitable for serious off-road use?”
Yes, Roadsafe recovery points are fully tested and ADR rated in Australia. Many other products on the market are untested and some are prone to failure.
“Can’t I just use the existing towing eye on my vehicle?”
No, in most cases these are only intended for strapping the vehicle onto a trailer or for on-road towing. Lashing eyes should never be used for any kind of off-road recovery.
“Is this prduct compatible with underbody guards, aftermarket bumpers, etc?”
Yes, in most cases. Refer to the fitting instructions to confirm this for your specific model. In some cases you might need to cut a slot for the recovery point if aftermarket skid plates are fitted.
