When a vehicle is fitted with a lifted suspension, the angle of the constant velocity joints and universal joints is changed. Although this change is an inevitable side-effect of installing a suspension lift, it can lead to accelerated component wear. Installing oversized wheels and tyres only makes matters worse.

The Terrain Tamer front axle lowering kit corrects the geometry of the CV joints and universal joints by lowering the differential by approximately 25mm, thus ensuring realignment of the universal joints.
