Axle: Front axle kit
Notes: On V6 installations, Trail-Gear recommend moving the front hanger forward by about 18mm. This allows the tie rod to clear the stock 4WD oil pan and also kicks the shackles forward slightly helping the springs to carry the heavier load of the V6 motor. This kit was designed for 4WD models, modification may be needed if fitting to 2WD models.

Vehicle models with IFS suspension can sometimes consist of torsion bars rather than leaf or coil springs. Whilst torsion bar suspension can offer good ride quality, this configuration is not as durable or capable off road and also gives limited scope for lifting the vehicle. One answer to this problem is to delete the IFS components and convert the vehicle to a live axle, leaf spring suspension setup at the front end.

The Trail-Gear IFS Eliminator kit contains almost everything needed to carry out the conversion, and comes with a range of lift height options. With a choice of 3″, 4″ or 5″ front lift, plus the option of either medium rate or heavy duty front leaf springs to suit additional weight such as bull bars or winches, this is a versatile and high quality kit.
To fit this kit, you will need to source a suitable live axle and long spline driveshaft from a 1979 to 1997 Hilux or Surf/4Runner. This kit only contains front axle components, so you will also need to lift the rear of the vehicle to match the front ride height.

No, this is a custom fit product and modification will be required.
