With so many winch brands available and some at bargain-bucket price points, it can be hard to choose the right winch for your needs. VRX winches are designed with powersports users in mind. Quad bikes, ATV, UTV and other vehicles will benefit from the small form factor and reliable pulling power. Features include IP68 waterproof ratings, 3 stage planetary gears, zinc plated hook, choice of synthetic or steel rope and a range of line pull ratings from 2,500lb to 4,500lb. The unit can be controlled by the included rocker switch, a wired remote controller or via the Warn HUB smartphone app. This is a hardworking and lightweight UTV winch with all-metal construction and a mechanical load-holding brake for improved control.

“Which winch is right for my needs?”
With ATVs, this very much depends on the weight of the machine and type of intended usage, but as a rule of thumb the winch rating should be around two to three times the weight of the vehicle or the object being winched. Learning good driving and winching techniques is the key to a successful and safe recovery.
“How do I fit a winch to my vehicle?”
A winch mount of some type will be needed in almost all cases. Ask for help if needed.
“Is this winch waterproof?”
Good quality winches are designed to withstand normal driving conditions, bad weather, etc. However, unless specifically stated, our winches are not designed to be driven into standing water. Should this happen, we recommend properly drying out your winch as soon as possible following the manufacturer’s guidelines.
“Is steel or synthetic rope better?”
Synthetic rope is safer, but it also requires more care in use. Either way, having proper recovery equipment is important to prevent rope damage.
“My winch rope looks damaged, is it safe?”
Damaged or worn ropes should be replaced immediately, contact us if you need advice.
